The Power of Hifz Sponsorship in Pakistan and Somalia
The memoriser of the Qur鈥檃n will be told on the Day of Judgement, 鈥楻ecite, and rise up, recite (melodiously) as you would recite in the world. For indeed your rank shall be at the last ayah you recited.鈥� (罢颈谤尘颈诲丑颈)听
In Pakistan and Somalia, young children from disadvantaged backgrounds, who were orphaned, live in poverty or displaced by drought, now have a blessed opportunity to learn and recite the Qur'an in its entirety.
On the authority of 鈥楢bdullah ibn Mas鈥榰d (ra) who said, 鈥楾he Messenger of Allah (saw)听said,听
鈥�Whoever recites a letter from the Book of Allah, he will receive one good deed as ten good deeds like it. I do not say that Alif Lam Mim is one letter, but rather Alif is a letter, Lam is a letter, and Mim is a letter.鈥�鈥�听(Tirmidhi)
However, they are not the only ones that will receive immense rewards for this act.听The parents of a Hafiz will also be honoured that Day with, 鈥榓 crown whose light is better than the light of the sun in the dwellings of this world鈥� (Abu Dawud) and 鈥榗lothed in two garments, which no people from the world could ever afford.鈥� (Ahmad)听
What an incredible honour and reward for the one who memorises the Qur鈥檃n and their parents who support them in this. Now we might not be the parents of a memoriser of the Qur鈥檃n but we have a golden opportunity to support them through sponsorship.听
